The One Room School House Project is a database of information currently maintained as a courtesy at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. The project includes listings and information on some 880 schools throughout the state and nation. The information, pictures, and stories included in this site have been collected and sent to the project by researchers and historians from across America. The One Room School House Project site is a compilation of articles about schools and the people who built and attended them, and the site also contains photographic images of existing and former school sites and textbooks. Submissions are encouraged to the site, but one may find more quickly the information they are looking for by posting questions and participating in discussion on the message boards. Enjoy your visit!
