Established in the spring of 2004, the Campus Life office collaborated with Student Government and Student Activities Association to form an organization that continuously encourages interest in the advancement and support of Southwestern College.
The Student Foundation was organized for the general purpose of enlisting and motivating outstanding SC students to promote the welfare of the Southwestern family. Specifically, programs/events of the Student Foundation are directed toward four major areas: traditions, activities,community involvement and student recruitment.
Enrich the collegiate experience by providing quality, student-centered programs, services, and involvement opportunities which promote unity, diversity, and student development.
- Encourage greater interest in Moundbuilder events/programs among the student body.
- Provide student members with a high level of involvement in the campus life of Southwestern.
- Translate each student member's interest and involvement into a lifetime of support of Southwestern through continued membership in the Student Foundation.
- Offer students opportunities to serve Southwestern in a variety of capacities; hoping that the students would then be committed to serve and support SC long after graduation.
