Join the excitement and be a part of the SC Purple Storm. A storm occurs when the entire Southwestern College community composed of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends attend a particular highlighted Southwestern College event wearing purple.

The traditions at SC begins with “U.” So, catch the spirit and join the team.
Student Foundation invites the entire Southwestern College community to join the excitement and help create electricity by wearing purple as part of the Storm. In addition, each year the incoming Freshman Class is given responsibility to carry forward the essence of tradition, spirit, and excellence of Southwestern College. They are charged with keeping the Storm brewing.
How Can I Purchase Purple Storm & Builder Storm T-shirts?
Purple Storm and Builder Storm t-shirts are $5.00 and can be purchased by contacting or stopping by the Campus Life Office located on the bottom floor of the Student Center or at ext. 6168.
