Is Southwestern College safe? Though no institution can guarantee the safety of all students at all times, SC is fortunate to be located in a low crime area such as Winfield and to have a very knowledgeable campus police force. The Southwestern security staff is here for your assistance and protection. The office is responsible for coordinating protection of your personal safety and property and that of the college.

Medical Emergencies

SC has several options to keep our students safe and healthy. When questions arise about medical assistance, students can contact a resident director, resident advisor, apartment manager, or campus security.

The student health center has hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12:00 noon to 1:15 pm . We have an on-staff family nurse practitioner with a practice in primary care. She can transmit prescriptions through physician protocol, order diagnostic tests, prescribe therapies, do patient histories and physical exams, triage and refer patients to appropriate specialist and agencies, counsel patients, give injections and many other health care services.
