I am so excited to be returning to Winfield and Southwestern College in the Summer of 2008. My wife, Mandie and I have been on the mission field for over five years, serving Jesus in the Dominican Republic. One of my newfound passions is Latin American culture, from the language to the food. It took me several long, hard years to learn to speak Spanish, but now I enjoy speaking it as much as possible. I love Latin American food! From the zesty food of Mexico to the flavorful rice and beans of the Dominican Republic, I love it! Latin culture has a close, family feel to it. Hugs and kisses on the cheek are always welcome! I have a new love in my life! My wife and I are learning to be parents. Last year, we adopted a Dominican baby boy, and he is so wonderful. Adopting a child can be challenging, but it has been the most rewarding thing that we have ever done. I am a sports fanatic! I love to play or watch nearly every sport. Basketball, baseball, football, golf, tennis, and hiking are all pastimes that I really enjoy. I also love to watch sports. It really does not matter what teams are playing, but the Moundbuilders, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas Jayhawks, and Atlanta Braves are some of my favorites.
