About Me:

My wife Deb and I graduated in the Southwestern class of 1971, so we’ve been Moundbuilders for years.  I am in my 31st year of teaching and coaching at SC.  I teach in the physical education department, and I am the men’s and women’s cross country and men’s track coach.  Our son Cory and daughter Cassie and her husband Ryan are SC graduates, and daughter Ashley will graduate this December. 

I enjoy gardening and yard work, reading, and I play some golf in the summer and jog fairly regularly throughout the year.  We enjoy spending time each summer relaxing at our family cabin in Colorado. 

We have a long history of highly successful, national class cross country and track programs.  I truly enjoy watching our current student-athletes mature and develop and our graduates establish successful families and careers after leaving here.  Southwestern is a great place to study and learn, and to participate in the activities you have a passion for.
