As you probably would guess, I love dance; the art of it, the expression and just plain doing it. I have owned and operated my own dance studio for the past 17 years. At my studio I teach ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and dance team. Previous to opening my studio, I enjoyed being a High School biology teacher and cheerleader coach for five years. I married the man of my dreams in 1988, and we have four children. One girl (14 years old) and three boys (13, 11, and 10 years old). If that shouldn't keep me busy, we also have 5 horses, 4 dogs, too many cats to count, several chickens, and a cow/calf pair. My husband built our house for us in 1995 and we plan on making this our home forever. Some of the things we enjoy doing are: camping, hiking, snow-skiing, traveling, board games, and just spending time together. One of my life long dreams was realized when I was able to swim with the dolphins in the Bahamas. My husband (Jeff) and I were able to spend three different days with the dolphins. One of "our" dolphins was a celebrity. She was the star of the movie "Zeus and Roxanne. I finally got an ipod, and have decided that it is probably one of the most unique ones in existence. I have ALL of my studio muscic on it. That means it has everything from classical, to voice-over tap, to current pop and contemporary christian songs. My short-lived claim to fame is that I was able to choreograph a dance to a Michael W. Smith song that he wrote specifically for Kanakuk Kamps and I was also able to perform it for him while he was in concert at Kamp. Short-lived that it was, it was definitely a highlight. |
