About Me:

Graduated from same high school as Janis Joplin (1964). I graduated in 1965 (best year ever!!). Janis Joplin, for those young people who aren't interested in history, was a singer / performer in the "Hippie Movement" of the '60's (aka "The Rose").

I married my wife, Susan, in Denver on Oct. 29, 1970. We have two daughters and four grandkids (five by the time this information is posted). I am a loyal "dyed in the wool" Bronco fan. When I was young, in high school, thought I wanted to be a professional pool player like "Fast Eddie" from the movie "The Hustler" starring Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason as "Minnesota Fats".

Joined the Texas National Guard to avoid going to Viet Nam and as a result went to jump school at Fort Benning, Ga. Got my paratrooper wings and have never jumped from an airplane since! Had an appointment to the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and decided not to accept (wanted to keep my feet on solid ground).

The draft associated with the Viet Nam war was a major incentive for me to enter college and get my student deferment. Chose the field of accounting because I felt if the economy took a downtown I could always feed my family by working in accounting in some fashion.

Interests - enjoy studying the civil war and characters that played a part in that part of our history. Also enjoy traveling within the United States and plan to do more now that I have some time available during the summer. Previously, as an owner of a CPA practice I worked everyday and had no time to myself.

High points in my life - my wife, Susan; my daughters Katie and Sara; grandchildren - Emmet, Regan, Griffin, Hadley and Crosby (when she arrives).
