FAMILY! Together, my wife, daughter, 3 sons, extended family and I navigate the adventures of life. We love to sit around the dinner table, or now more often come together via a conference call, discussing books to read, movies to watch, events of the day, school projects, and dreams of the future. When asking my family, simultaneously they exclaim with a resounding "TRAVEL!" as my passion. It is true. I believe there is no better way to discover our gift, the world, than traveling. Hannah collected a rock from each of the great lakes, Andrew celebrated his 8th birthday while climbing a mountain above the Artic circle in Norway, Erik walked the rim of a volcano, and Samuel slid down a mountain glacier. We have encountered most of the 48 contiguous states while riding in our Grand Caravan and lived for a summer in Quebec to speak another language and learn of the culture. We love heading to the mountains in the winter to ski, spending time at our cabin on a Northern Minnesota lake in the summer and preparing musical offerings for our church throughout the year. If I were to give one piece of advice it would be, "take time to learn about those around you, experiencing life with them can make this world a very exciting place to be." |
