Additional Information about Scholarships:

  1. Need based funds will be added to the student's base amount where appropriate.
  2. Best composite ACT is used. Last test date to improve test score for financial aid is April.
  3. Students may receive one activity scholarship in addition to their base amount.
  4. Should a student receive a scholarship from their church community, the amount of the scholarship will be matched by Southwestern up to $500 per semester ($1,000 per year). To receive the match, church funds must be received by September 1 of the fall semester. (application required)
  5. Southwestern scholarships are renewable provided the student maintains a 2.0 cumulative GPA. The Presidential scholarship is renewable provided the student maintains a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
  6. Once financial aid award is set for the year, it is guaranteed for each year  thereafter, provided the student meets financial aid deadlines, the renewal GPA, and continues living on campus.
  7. Exceptions to Presidential Scholarship GPA and ACT guidelines are made on a case by case basis following consideration of outstanding academic merit and/or  anticipated outstanding contributions to campus life.

Students may receive one activity scholarship in addition to their academic award (SC Scholarship, Dixon, and Presidential).

 Additional Information About Premier Scholarships :

1. Awarded to only ONE incoming freshman in each area.

2. Premier Scholarships are stand-alone scholarships.

3. Premier Scholarships are renewable with a 3.2 GPA

4. Premier Scholarships require student to live on Campus

 

 PACE Loans
These loans will be offered to all freshmen students who have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and 21 ACT composite or 1010 SAT total.
