Wednesday, Oct. 14

11 a.m.  CHAPEL, Messenger Auditorium, with Dr. Mel Cheatham ’55, from Samaritan’s Purse.

7 p.m.  HOMECOMING LECTURE, Messenger Auditorium, will feature Dr. Mel Cheatham ’55.  Donations will be accepted for Samaritan’s Purse missionary programs.

8 p.m.  *THEATRE PRODUCTION, The Norman Conquests: Trilogy 1, by Alan Ayckbourn, at Messenger Auditorium.  $8 adults, $4 children, half price for subsequent Trilogy productions.  For tickets, call (620) 229-6272.  (The Trilogy may be enjoyed as a single production, or as two or all three segments.)

Thursday, Oct. 15

8 p.m.  *THEATRE PRODUCTION, The Norman Conquests: Trilogy 2, by Alan Ayckbourn, at Messenger Auditorium.  $8 adults, $4 children, half price for subsequent Trilogy productions.  For tickets, call (620) 229-6272. 

Friday, Oct. 16

9 a.m.-4 p.m.  Southwestern Bookstore open.

10 a.m. *JINX INVITATIONAL GOLF TOURNEY, Winfield Country Club.  Shotgun start.  Sign up by contacting SC coach, Brad Sexson at (620) 229-6161, or brad.sexson@sckans.edu.  $75 per person or $300 per team.  Fee includes green fees, cart, 3 drink tickets, range balls, and prizes.  (Golf registration begins at 9 a.m.) 

12 noon  CLASS of 1969 WELCOME LUNCHEON.  Meet at Burger Station, buy your lunch and head to Island Park, just like the old days!

2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  REGISTRATION for reunion classes (Class Hosts will greet at specified times below), Campus Players, women’s soccer and softball, in Pounds Lounge area.

5:30-7:30 p.m.  ALL-CLASS HOMECOMING DINNER & CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF, Stewart Field House.  Master of ceremonies Dawn Pleas-Bailey, VP of Student Life.  Recognition of 50 yr class, 51+ alumni, reunion year Class Hosts.  Homecoming awards will be presented to Jim Reed '64, Alumni Award; Traci Lungren '04, Young Alumni Award; David Seaton, Ambassador Award.  No charge for dinner, but RSVP is necessary.

Saturday, October 17

8-10 a.m.  ALUMNI REGISTRATION & COFFEE, Pounds Lounge.

9 a.m.–4 p.m.  Southwestern Bookstore open.

9 a.m.  *CLASS of 1959 CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, lobby of old Fox Theatre, 1007 Main.  Pay at the door.  Alumni from other classes are invited to drop by and chat when they come for the parade.

10 a.m.  HOMECOMING PARADE, Main Street.  Line up 13th & Main, 9:30.

11 a.m.-1 p.m.  ALUMNI REGISTRATION, Stewart Field House foyer. 

11 a.m.-1 p.m.  BOOK SIGNING for Winfield’s Golden Era of Sports, by Winfield native, Bob Hartley, Stewart Field House foyer.  The book, which includes 1920-23 SC basketball, 1939 celebration; and undefeated football, will be available for purchase.

11:15 a.m.  OUTREACH WORSHIP SERVICE, on south patio of Roy L. Smith Student Center.

11:30-1 p.m.  *HOMECOMING PICNIC, Stewart Field House.  $5.25 person, children under 6, $2.50.

12 noon-1 p.m. PRESIDENT’S LUNCHEON for 51+ years alumni at Country Club.  Guests of President, special invitation.  Hosts: Betty (McGowan) Bradley ’51 (620) 221-2565, Don Drennan ’52 (620) 221-4693, and Ken Everhart ’57 (620) 326-2619.

1:15 p.m.  CLASS REUNION GATHERINGS, Sonner Stadium.  Find your decade banner and sit with your classmates and friends at the football game… Go Builders!

1:30 p.m. *HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME, SC vs. Bethany.  $6 per adult, $2 for senior citizens (age 65 and up) & college students w/ ID.

2:30-5 p.m.  FINE ARTS COME & GO RECEPTION, Darbeth Fine Arts Center, east lobby.  Come and visit with Campus Players and fine arts alumni. 

4-5 p.m.  COMMUNICATIONS & ENGLISH REUNION, come & go in Christy Hall lower level.  This includes alumni involved with Moundbuilder yearbook, Collegian newspaper, Jinx Radio, SCTV, The English Journal, and debate.

5-8 p.m.  *CHILD CARE SERVICES, Grace UMC.  Cost $2 per hour per child,which includes evening meal.  Reservations required, walk-ins accepted if space allows.

10:50 a.m.  HOMECOMING WORSHIP SERVICE at Grace UMC, with Dr. Melvin Cheatham ‘55, guest speaker, of Samaritan's Purse.  Service will include a memorial to deceased SC alumni from Sept. 1, 2008 to Aug. 31, 2009.  A Cappella Choir members and alumni will be invited to participate in singing “Beautiful Savior”.

11:15 a.m.–1:30 p.m.  *SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET, Roy L. Smith dining hall.  Cost $6 person.  No reservation necessary.

12:15 p.m.  LUNCH at CUMBERNAULD VILLAGE, compliments of Cumbernauld Village Retirement Community.  Tours will be available.
