3 p.m.  SOUTH KANSAS SYMPHONY, featuring Richard Kilmer- violin, Richardson Auditorium.

Tuesday, Oct. 7

7-8 p.m.  "EVENING OF SOUTHWESTERN ARTS", Southwestern College Library.  Valet parking will be available at the keyhole drive.



Thursday, Oct. 9

7-7:45 p.m.  SC MUSIC REUNION WELCOME RECEPTION, Darbeth Fine Arts Center , main lobby.

8 p.m. *THEATRE PRODUCTION, “The Comedy of Errors” by William Shakespeare, Messenger Hall.  $10 adults, $5 children.  For tickets call (620) 229-6272.

Friday, Oct. 10

8:15-9 a.m. SC MUSIC REUNION REGISTRATION & COFFEE, Darbeth Main Lobby.  *Cost of Performance Package $25, which includes concert music and commemorative DVD of the rehearsals and Kaleidoscope production.  For more details, contact Lou Tharp at (620) 229-6272.

9 a.m.-4 p.m.  Book Cave open.

9-10:30 a.m.  ORCHESTRA REHEARSAL with Daniel Stevens, Richardson Auditorium.

10 a.m. *JINX INVITATIONAL GOLF TOURNEY, Quail Ridge Golf Course.  Shotgun start.  Sign up by contacting SC coach, Brad Sexson at (620) 229-6161, or brad.sexson@sckans.edu.  $75 per person or $300 per team.  Fee includes green fees, cart, 3 drink tickets, range balls, and prizes.  (Golf registration begins at 9 a.m.) 

10:45-12:15 p.m.  CHORAL REHEARSAL with David Gardner, Darbeth Rehearsal Hall.      

11 a.m.-1 p.m.  SC CAREER FAIR, Java Jinx snack bar.

2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  REGISTRATION for Homecoming begins, Pounds Lounge area.   

2-3 p.m.  CLASS REGISTRATION for 1958 and 1963, Pounds Lounge area.

2:30-3:30 p.m.  CLASS REGISTRATION for 1968 and 1973, Pounds Lounge area.

3 and 3:30 p.m.  CAMPUS TOURS, Pounds Lounge.  Student Ambassadors will give campus walking tours.  (Allow 30 min. per tour.)

3-4 p.m.  CLASS REGISTRATION for 1978 and 1998, Pounds Lounge area.

5 p.m.  ALUMNI/ VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY MEET, Winfield Veterans Home

5:30 p.m.  Registration moves to the Snack Bar area.

6-7:30 p.m. *ALL-CLASS HOMECOMING DINNER, Roy L. Smith dining hall, Elliott Rodda ‘88, master of ceremonies.  Recognition of 50 yr class, 50+ alumni, reunion year Class Hosts, SC Trustees and A Cappella and Orchestra Alumni.  Williams String Ensemble will perform.  $20 per person, seating limited, admittance by RSVP only.

6:30 p.m.  *FOOTBALL ALUMNI REUNION SOCIAL and STEAK DINNER, Stewart Field House.  Social time and video presentation first, followed by KC Strip steak dinner at 7 p.m., with SC football players serving the meal.  $50 per person, includes special banquet, live & silent auctions, and football capital campaign presentation.  At 8 p.m., football alumni will receive a special lighted athletics tour, including up close and personal in Sonner Stadium, Farney (Fitness) Center, and Bud Elliott Locker Room.

8 p.m.  KALEIDOSCOPE CONCERT, including Orchestra and A Cappella Choir Alumni from Reunion Rehearsals, Richardson Auditorium.  Audience donations will be accepted.

9-12 p.m. *FOOTBALL ALUMNI REUNION PARTY – Come before, during or after the bonfire, for stories and socializing at Winfield Country Club, 2916 Country Club Rd.  (Dutch treat.)

9:30 p.m.  BONFIRE, north end of Soccer Field.
 


Saturday, October 11

8-10 a.m.  ALUMNI REGISTRATION & COFFEE, Pounds Lounge.

8:30-9:45 a.m.  Class of 2003 COME-and-GO BREAKFAST, College Hill Coffee, 403 Soward St.  (Dutch treat.)

9 a.m.–2 p.m.  BOOK CAVE OPEN

10 a.m.  HOMECOMING PARADE, Main Street.  Class of 1958 will have a float and Class of 1963 will ride the Alumni Trolley (seating limited.)

10:30 a.m.  Class of 1983 BRUNCH/COFFEE, College Hill Coffee, 403 Soward St.  (Dutch treat.)

11 a.m.-1 p.m.  ALUMNI REGISTRATION, Stewart Field House foyer.

11 a.m.-12 noon  PEP BAND REHEARSAL, Darbeth Rehearsal Hall.

11:30 a.m.  REDEDICATION AND NAMING of the Harold and Mary Ellen Deets Library.  Come and see the incredible changes.

11:30-1 p.m. *HOMECOMING PICNIC, Stewart Field House.  $5 person, children under 6, $2.50.

12 noon -1 p.m. CLASS REUNION LUNCHEON for 50+ years alumni at Country Club.  Hosts: Betty (McGowan) Bradley ’51 (620) 221-2565 and Don Drennan ’52 (620) 221-4693.

1:15 p.m.  CLASS REUNION GATHERINGS, Sonner Stadium.  Find your decade banner and sit with your classmates and friends at the football game… Go Builders!

1:30 p.m. *HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME, SC vs. Bethel College .  $6.00 per adult, $2.00 for senior citizens (age 65 and up) & college students w/ ID.  Football alumni will be recognized at halftime.  Pep Band (students and alumni) will perform

2:30-5 p.m.  FINE ARTS COME & GO RECEPTION, Darbeth Fine Arts Center , east lobby, with Williams String Ensemble providing musical backdrop.  Alumni art show by Marilyn Powers McNeish '54 will be on display. 

4-5 p.m.  COMMUNICATIONS & ENGLISH REUNION, come & go in Christy Hall lower level.  This includes alumni involved with Moundbuilder yearbook, Collegian newspaper, Jinx Radio, SCTV, The English Journal, and debate.

5 p.m.  ALUMNI SOCCER GAME, SC soccer field.  Contact Joe Wood '05/'07 at 620-229-6157 for more information.

5-8 p.m.  *CHILD CARE SERVICES, Grace United Methodist Church, northwest entrance.  Cost $2 per hour per child, which includes evening meal.  Reservations required, walk-ins accepted if space allows.  Carol (Tillotson) Galliart ’71 and FCLA Students from Winfield High School.

6 p.m.  *GREAT PERFORMANCES: BUILDER BANQUET, Richardson Auditorium Stage.  Special music entertainment will be provided for this premier dinner; persons who attend will be entered in a drawing for the naming rights of 2 seats in Richardson Renovation.  Cost of this fundraiser dinner, $50.  Seating is limited – attendance by reservation only.  Reserved parking for this dinner will be available at the north Christy Hall parking lot.

10:50 a.m.  HOMECOMING WORSHIP SERVICE at Grace UMC, with Rev. Kendal Utt ‘78, guest pastor.  Service will include a memorial to deceased SC alumni from Sept. 1, 2007 to Aug. 31, 2008.  A Cappella Choir members and alumni will be invited to participate in singing “Beautiful Savior”.

11:15 a.m.–1:30 p.m.  *SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET, Roy L. Smith dining hall.  Cost $6 person.  No reservation necessary.

12 noon  CLASS OF ‘93 FAREWELL PICNIC, Island Park.  Bring a lunch for you and your family.
