Winfield, Kan., April 19, 2002 — In honor of Earth Day, the Southwestern College chapter of Beta Beta Beta biology honor society and the Student Activity Association will be holding a contest Monday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Kirk Drive, off College Street in Winfield. It is open to the public.

The contest will determine the most polluting vehicle in all of Winfield by placing a clean sock over the tailpipe of each vehicle entered and running the engine for five minutes. Free auto tune ups will be given to the cars with the dirtiest exhaust.
