The Harold and Mary Ellen Deets Library supports
the mission and vision of Southwestern College. The
library encourages the development of lifelong learning
by developing information literacy skills, by supporting
research and the curriculum, and by providing access to
virtual and physical resources.
The Southwestern College Library was built in 1950.
It was renovated in 2008 and rededicated in honor of Harold
and Mary Ellen Deets, both of the class of 1943. Its
three floors contain conference rooms, classrooms, study
carrels, the book and media collection, study and reading
areas, and the college's archives. The virtual library offers
access to e-books, e-audio books, and databases for the
college community..
