The Southwestern College Deets Library has been awarded a $4,357 grant from the South Central Kansas Library System (SCKLS).
According to library director Veronica McAsey, the grant will help fund a library automation upgrade using the Polaris Library automation system.
“The Polaris Library system is used for checking out and in materials, cataloging them, and searching for them through the library's online catalog,” McAsey says.
SCKLS provides grants, consulting, continuing education, and cost-effective support services to 147 member libraries in 12 counties.
Other recipients of grants include Sterling U.S.D. 376, Canton-Galva U.S.D. 419, and Renwick School District 267.
