On Wednesday, Dec. 4, Southwestern College will be holding an open house to showcase the remodeled Jim and Hazel Dole Center that is the new home of the college’s office of institutional advancement. The open house will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and will be highlighted by the dedication, at 4 p.m., of the Ronnie Jenkins Conference Room.
Jenkins retired from the advancement office last summer, following 20 years of service to the college as an advancement officer representing Southwestern to alumni and friends and seeking financial gifts for the college. The renovation of the Dole Center was underwritten, in part, by Southwestern alumnus Charles Kopke, who made a generous gift to the college to honor Jenkins’ service on the occasion of his retirement.
Community members, alumni, and friends of the college are invited to attend the come and go reception and enjoy food and refreshments.
The Jim and Hazel Dole Center is located at 201 N. College Street. Parking is available across the street from the Dole Center in the parking lot behind the Beech Science Center.
