SC Students Recognized by KATS

Eight Athletic Training Students from Southwestern College have been recognized by the Kansas Athletic Trainers’ Society (KATS) honor roll.
KATS•    First Team—Caitlin Hays, Garden Plain.
•    Second Team—Amanda Watson, Miami, Okla.; Kayla Lovell, Waukomis, Okla.
•    Honorable Mention—Blake Smith, Dexter; Rachel Vieyra, Hutchinson; Kayla Demel, Wichita; Heather Gilmore, Kinsley; and Tiffany Rieger, Manchester, Okla. 

First-team nominees had to be junior or above in academic standing, active within the professional phase of the Athletic Training Program (ATP), and achieved a 3.8/4.0 KATS honors average which is the average of the student’s spring grade-point average (GPA), fall GPA, and cumulative GPA.  Second-team nominees had to be junior or above in academic standing, active within the professional phase of the ATP, and achieved a 3.6/4.0 KATS honors average which is the average of the student’s spring grade-point average (GPA), fall GPA, and cumulative GPA.  Honorable Mention nominees had to be sophomore or above in academic standing, active within the professional phase of the ATP, and achieved a 3.4/4.0 KATS honors average which is the average of the student’s spring grade-point average (GPA), fall GPA, and cumulative GPA.
