New Faculty and Staff at Southwestern College

New Southwestern College faculty and staff were introduced at the annual Welcome Back Dinner held at Baden Square on Monday, Aug. 15. 

New faculty include:
•    Jayna Bertholf, assistant professor of accounting.  She has a master of science degree in business education from Emporia State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University.   
•    Tiffany Deater, assistant professor of communications. She has a master of arts degree in English and a master of fine arts degree in art video.  Soon she will hold a Ph. D. in environmental interpretation from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.   
•    Jacob Negley, assistant professor of psychology.  He has a Ph. D. in cognitive psychology from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina.
•    Xiuqing Liu, visiting scholar from Beijing, China, where she works as deputy chief of China’s meteorological sector.  Xiuqing will teach a course on Chinese language and culture and help mentor new Chinese students entering the MBA program. 

New staff members at Southwestern include:
•    Kaydee Riggs-Johnson, vice president for marketing and communications.
•    Wendy Mohler-Seib, director of faith formation for youth and young adults (Institute for Discipleship).
•    Elizabeth Thummel, controller
•    Doreen Fast, executive assistant to the president.
•    Kristin Porter, faculty assistant for performing arts.
•    Nathan Morrison, assistant athletic trainer.
•    Delaney Osborne, athletic training graduate assistant.
•    Heather Griffin, admissions counselor for Professional Studies.
•    Jordan Pond, residence director for Cole Hall.
•    Mary Sites, first-year student advisor. 
•    Stephen Stogner, information technology technician.
•    Kierstin Stolley, sports information graduate assistant and assistant softball coach. 
•    Tim Testa, head cross country coach.
•    Adam Kirby, assistant football coach.
•    SirDerrick Dotson, assistant football coach
•    Tory Tucker, assistant women’s basketball coach.
•    Audrey Vorderlandwehr, assistant softball coach.
•    Hernan Hatem, assistant tennis coach.
•    Martyna Gluchowicz, assistant volleyball coach.
•    Justin Churchill, assistant golf coach.
