Grace 52 Foundation

A football player, a college, and a moment of God's grace culminate in '84 Southwestern College alumnus Ron Richardson's desire to help students in their quest for a better life.

"I have been so blessed," says Ron Richardson.  "When I think about the people in my life who have helped me along the way, I am so thankful. Helping young people imagine greater things for themselves than the immediate path they can see in front of them is something I feel is important.  This scholarship is just one way that I can accomplish that goal."

Ron Richardson is the Managing Partner of Vista Investment Partners of Oklahoma City, OK, a company committed to helping its clients reach their personal financial goals.  Ron, a successful investment manager and certified financial planner, has established the Grace52 Foundation for the purpose of providing scholarships to students from the Cowley County, Kansas area where he grew up.

In 2015-2016, each Grace52 Foundation Scholarship was worth a total of $8,000 distributed over a period of four years.

Scholarship Criteria

• Preference given to residents of Cowley County, then residents of Kansas and/or Oklahoma
• 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or principal (Send to: Office of Financial Aid, 100 College St, Winfield, KS 67156)
• Completed 2016-2017 FAFSA Application
