Special Instructions for Advisors
(1) Physics Education majors MUST take Calculus 1 in the fall of the freshman year to complete this plan.
(2) To satisfy the 50-hour breadth requirement in Education, a communications course must be taken to satisfy the Humanities Disciplinary Perspective, and a social science course must be taken to satisfy the Other Cultures Disciplinary Perspective.
(3) The MATH 103 requirement can be satisfied by passing an Equivalency Test that is administered every fall semester. Students who choose to take the Equivalency Test can take another General Education elective.
(4) NSCI 280 History of Science is a cognate requirement for the Physics Education major and so should be used to satisfy the Natural Science Disciplinary Perspective requirement in the General Education program.
(5) One of two required, but both are recommended.
(6) An additional social science elective is necessary to satisfy the 50-hour breadth requirement in Education.
