Business Track

This track is for business majors but business majors are not required to take it. They may take instead the intensive language track. Students interested in the business track will take 6-9 hours of Chinese language and culture courses and 3-6 hours of Southwestern College online business courses. Previous knowledge of Chinese is not required. In addition, students will take a two-hour course taught in English at Huangshan University on Chinese business etiquette and practices. Students will also have the opportunity to visit local businesses.

All hours taken by the student while they are in China will be awarded by Southwestern College. Students will enroll in the Chinese language courses as well as the business courses using Self-Service in the same way they have selected classes in the past. The student does not need to contact the school in China.

Additional information including details of the cost of the program can be found on the business track Information Sheet - Business. Students may find they can spend a semester in China for less money than staying at Southwestern.

Contact Kurt Keiser, Chair of the Business Department, at or Dr. George Gangwere at for any questions.
