Our Mission Southwestern College supports students interested in entering and succeeding in a law career by providing a vital Pre-Law Student Association, Attorney Alumni mentoring program, LSAT preparation, mock trial and debating activities and a curriculum that develops written, oral and analytical skills to insure success in law school and a career in law. Due to the tight job market, law school applications have soared in recent years, making admission increasingly competitive. Though 70% of applicants are accepted to at least one law school, the academic profile of applicants continues to increase. According to recent data from Law Services, the average student applicant to law school has a 3.29 GPA and a score of 152.6 on the LSAT. Specialized and tailored advising provided by the Southwestern Pre-Law program can make the difference between getting in and being left out. We are devoted to serving the Pre-Law community by providing opportunities to explore the law profession, develop courtroom skills, and prepare for both the LSAT and the law school admissions process. |
