General Education Programs
Do I Need More General Education Courses?
Southwestern College is eager to work with learners who have accumulated 30 semester hours from previous college coursework or military training. While learners can enter the program with 30 semester hours, Professional Studies and SC Online both require learners to have at least 48 semester hours of general education credit hours prior to graduation.
For learners who enter with the minimum of 30 hours, Southwestern College offers a series of general education bridge courses. The general education program allows these learners to work with their advisor to choose courses most appropriate for their interests.
