Events Assistant: Camps & Conferences/Richardson Performing Arts Center

For the camps and conferences assistant the student worker will check to make sure all the doorm rooms have adequate furniture and the rooms are clean. Students will complete the resident hall walk through before and after each camp/conference with director of camps & conferences to assure rooms are ready for camp. At the close of camp do walk through with camp coordinator to do room check and/or damage assessment. Assist director with evening activities during the SC Summer Programs each night the campers are doing an activity.  Assist with check-in and check-out of camp attendees when needed.  Assist director of camps & conferences with other details or task as needed. 

For the RPAC assistant the student will provide logistical, technician, and customer service to Richardson Performing Arts Center and its customers to ensure successful events. The student worker will assist the RPAC manager with lighting, sound, and stage needs for rehearsals and performances in RPAC facility. They will also assist the RPAC manager with equipment inventory and checkout with other areas on campus.

  • Provide volunteer information to the Kansas 4-H Office for criminal background checks and Child Abuse and Neglect registry checks.
  • Communicate with the 4-H Agent to insure that all volunteers have completed the screening and application process.
  • Conduct volunteer interviews with the 4-H Agent as needed.
  • Arrange for and schedule volunteer training.
  • Implement the Kansas 4-H Volunteer Screening process at the local level.
