Our Admissions Assistant position is a summertime position only. The Assistant is required to help the Admissions office with numerous tasks. These tasks include answering the phone, touring prospective students, filing, and frequent mail runs. Computer skills will give students an edge when working on data entry.The Admissions Assistant will work anywhere from 20-25 hours per week. Confidentiality is important

The student(s) will help the athletic trainers with the daily working of the athletic training department. Students main responsibilities will be to collect money/tickets at the gate enterence, sell programs and help with set up for the games. Students on average will be working 3-4 hours per game. Check to make sure all the door rooms have adequate furniture and the rooms are clean and tidy.  Complete the resident hall walk through before and after each camp/conference with director of camps & conferences to assure rooms are ready for camp.  At the close of camp do walk through with camp coordinator to do room check and/or damage assessment. Assist director with evening activities during the SC Summer Programs each night the campers are doing an activity.  Assist with check-in and check-out of camp attendees when needed.  Assist director of camps & conferences with other details or task as needed.

Student workers will be responsible for seeding, transplanting, and watering plants in the greenhouse. The work study student will assist full-time employees in parts of all three of the following areas:

Groundskeeping- The Groundskeeper will landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Work typically consists of a variety of tasks examples include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation, sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks.

Unit Clerk- The Unit Clerk will complete the clerical tasks assigned by the supervisor in accordance with corporate guidelines. Provide accurate, friendly, quality service to customers/clients when processing customer/client transactions.

  • Provide volunteer information to the Kansas 4-H Office for criminal background checks and Child Abuse and Neglect registry checks.
  • Communicate with the 4-H Agent to insure that all volunteers have completed the screening and application process.
  • Conduct volunteer interviews with the 4-H Agent as needed.
  • Arrange for and schedule volunteer training.
  • Implement the Kansas 4-H Volunteer Screening process at the local level.
