Degree Requirements

Great news! You must be considering a career in chemistry or biochemistry. Our majors prepare students for graduate study, medical and dental school, teaching, or a wide range of occupations. The four options are: B.S. in biochemistry (best for pre-med), B.A. in chemistry, and a B.A. in chemistry with high school teaching  certification. The details of each degree are shown below. Click here for descriptions of the courses. The chemistry program at Southwestern can be your ticket to a great career.
