The Southwestern College cheerleaders are a group of 8 student-athletes.
We emphasize spirit throughout the campus and Winfield community.
The squad performs at all home and away football games, home basketball
games, and some out of town basketball games. Each year we participate
in the Moundbuilding Ceremony, Homecoming Parade, Homecoming bonfire,
and pep assemblies. We practice 3 to 5 days per week with practice
times arranged around team members' academic schedules.

Squad Reflections |
|
As captain of the Southwestern College Cheerleading Squad, I would
like to take this opportunity to invite all interested students
to tryout for cheerleading. My experiences as a Moundbuilder cheerleader
have been fun and memorable! I have developed lasting friendships
with squad members and while I will miss representing Southwestern
College at sports events and activities, I will always hold cheerleading
dear to my heart! Tracy Stapleton-Captain (Class of 2000)

Our squad is a family, laughing together, crying together, learning
together, and most of all sticking together. It is an experience
that I will never forget. I love it! Paul Mages (Class of
2001)

Cheering is a good way to get involved and meet friends that you
will never forget! Tessa Ball (Class of 2002)

I love cheerleading, and cheering at SC has been a lot of fun.
It's a great way to get involved on campus! Tracy Crockett

As a squad this season, I believe we did an awesome job and I hope
next year is just as fun! Kristy Grinstaff (Class of 2002)

Even though I got picked on for being "the baby" of the squad,
I still had a blast cheering. It was a great freshman experience!
