Broderick School

Submitted by Dale Brimer

This was a one room school with first grade through the eigth. After the eighth grade we were transferred to Westmoreland High School in Pottawatomie Co. We rode horses to school and had a barn in the back to put the horses in. There was an outside well and coal bend. I went to school there in 1945 and 1946. My teacher's name was LaVina Cutright. They later closed the school and moved it to Louisville, KS, as a community center and the building is still standing to this day. THere were about 15 kids attending when I was there.
