Sunday morning we ate breakfast at the Hotel Canadien and prepared to meet Mike Gullickson and his family to go to church at a house church held in an American Missionarys home. As we were driving into town from our hotel Steve suddenly yelled look out theres a deer, we all got a good laugh as the deer was only a small donkey in the ditch that they had tied out to graze. Needless to say we havent let him live that one down.
Gordon directed us to Mikes house and we headed to Dave Keaton's home for house church. There were approximately 5 different missionary groups represented in the church and one man that ran a clothing manufacturing business. We had a wonderful time of worship and sharing of Gods word.
After church we went with Mike and his family to Applebees for lunch and we were joined by some friends of theirs who are involved with the United Fruit company and run their farming operation. Their two daughters and Mike and Georganns daughter are really close friends. We had a really good visit and lunch.
We went out to see where Evylina lives and then over to the building site where they are building her new home
Mikes desire for us was to try to finish up the house and get her moved in if at all possible. We then went to Mikes home and relaxed and made plans for the weeks activities. While there we sent out the e-mails with day one and two to you. On the way home we stopped by the grocery store and purchased some pop, batteries, chips, and oranges. We got our first experience at using limperas, the money here in Honduras.
