Women's Basketball vs McPherson

For the first time in its history, the Southwestern College women's basketball team has claimed the No. 1 seed in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship tournament. The Lady Builders will face the eighth-seeded McPherson College Bulldogs in a re-match of Saturday's senior night match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside historic Stewart Field House.

Southwestern swept the regular season series with the Bulldogs. The Lady Builders notched a 73-67 win over McPherson on Jan. 22 in McPherson, then defeated the Bulldogs, 69-54, in Saturday's regular season finale. The two teams will meet in the opening round of the tournament for the second-straight season. Southwestern defeated McPherson, 57-50, in the opening round of the 2013 tournament before going on to win its first KCAC tournament championship.

The winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal will advance to face the winner of Quarterfinal No. 2 between fourth-seeded Ottawa and fifth-seeded Kansas Wesleyan. If Southwestern wins, it will host Saturday's semifinal game Saturday at 2:30 p.m., while a McPherson win would send the Bulldogs to either Kansas Wesleyan or Ottawa Saturday afternoon.

KCAC tournament admission prices (Adults - $10, Faculty/Staff with ID - $6, Students - $3, Children 5 & Under – Free) will be in effect for Wednesday's quarterfinal contest. No Southwestern passes or season tickets will be honored.
