Your Academic Success Coach will also receive email notification of this request to drop or withdraw from a course. Learners using the Army portal must drop or withdraw from courses through the portal. Southwestern College Professional Studies will receive notification of your drop/withdrawal requests from the Army. Following is SC’s fee schedule for dropping or withdrawing from a course.

For courses lasting six weeks:

  • No charge when withdrawal notice is given before midnight Sunday the end of the first week of class.
  • Thirty percent of tuition assessed for the course when notice is given before midnight on Sunday of the second week of class.
  • Full tuition assessed for the course when notice is given after midnight on Sunday of the second week of class.
  • No withdrawals are allowed after the fifth week of class.

For courses lasting twelve weeks or longer:

  • No charge when withdrawal notice is given before midnight Sunday the end of the first week of class.
  • Thirty percent of tuition assessed for the course when notice is given before midnight on Sunday of the fourth week of class.
  • Full tuition assessed for the course when notice is given after midnight on Sunday of the fourth week of class.
  • A student may withdraw from a course at any time two weeks prior to a course end date and receive a grade of “WD”, which does not influence the grade point average.
