ALUMNI RECOGNITION AWARD
Elizabeth Baumgart '60: An innovative educator, this New Jersey native originated the model for the first magnet school in Los Angeles. She was featured speaker at the college's centennial celebration in 1985.

Donna Homan '80:
Much of the high quality of life in Winfield is a tribute to Donna's energy, dedication, and sense of civic pride. A florist and owner of Donna's Designs, she has been the driving force behind the city's Isle of Lights that has been a Christmas tradition since 1992.

AMBASSADOR RECOGNITION AWARD
Jim Wilson:
Jim was a friend of the college and the Winfield community up until his death in November 1999. During the time he was plant manager of Winfield's Binney & Smith Crayola plant, he continually searched for ways to involve the business community with the college. His award was accepted posthumously by his daughter, Michelle Stinson, and son, James Wilson.

AMBASSADOR RECOGNITION AWARD
Charles Maddin:
Initially involved with the college and its science advisory board through his friendship with Wayne White '27, analytical chemist Maddin saved the college thousands of dollars when he volunteered to handle the disposal of years of accumulated chemicals in Mossman Hall.
