Greetings from Wallace Gray, Project Coordinator

I hope you enjoy surfing the Plott Project. In case you are interested in some biographical information about me or my wife, please click here for the Grays' home page. The important facts about me as Project Coordinator may perhaps be gathered from my exposition of the project within the present web site.

An additional statement about my role as Project Coordinator may be in order. After John Plott's death and until Loyd Swenson contacted me on behalf of the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations, there was no coordinator because there was no ongoing project. Even after I made my first presentation to the ISCSC at Wright University in Ohio in 1995, there was little for a coordinator to coordinate - unless I coordinated myself. There still is no formal team of scholars, but encouragement and help have come from many individuals and institutions. To name a few: Midori Rynn, Matt Melko, David Wilkinson, and Loyd Swenson, all of ISCSC; Eiji Hattori of UNESCO; and the technical support in the Computer Information Center of Southwestern College beginning with the then-Director Dr. Gary King and including most notably Keith Chuvala, Alan Moore, and Steve Ruggles and student lab assistant Constantin Smirnov (a Russian student at Southwestern). These plus many names scattered through my Plott Project web site deserve praise and recognition here. My awareness of my personal limitations as coordinator of a Project of this magnitude lets me rest easy in not giving complete credits, lest I seem to be trying to pass any of the blame for imperfections to anyone but myself.
