Dr. Schlickau received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Kansas in 1971 and her Masters in Nursing from Wichita State University. Her PhD is from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has experience in rural hospitals as a nurse generalist, manager, and educator. Dr. Schlickau holds certifications in Lamaze Childbirth Education and Transcultural Nursing. She joined the faculty in 1987.
