Director of the BSN Nursing Program
Southwestern College announces a search for Director of the Nursing program. Aligned with the SC 2028 strategic plan, Southwestern College relaunched the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program in the fall of 2025 and our nursing program is entering a planned leadership transition. The current Director of Nursing will step down from the full-time director position on June 30, 2026, move to a part-time transition role on July 1, 2026, and conclude employment on December 31, 2026. This transition model is intended to provide continuity of leadership while supporting onboarding of a new long-term director. The foundational work of developing the Nursing program has been completed, and the program is now entering a phase that requires strong day-to-day academic leadership, visible student engagement, relationship-centered leadership, recruitment activity, and sustained execution.
The Director of the Nursing Program is accountable to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty. The Director provides leadership and management in the daily operations and the future direction of the Nursing Program. The Director assures excellence in the nursing program based on university mission and strategic priorities, best practices in teaching and learning modalities, integration of faith and learning and standards for professional practice. This is a full-time twelve-month nursing faculty position with delegated administrative release time. Faculty serving in this role also assume the role of standing nursing faculty related to teaching, scholarship, professional development and service to the school and profession. Academic rank is assigned dependent upon credentials and experience. The retiring Founding Director will continue in a part-time capacity to act as a mentor to the incoming Director to ensure a smooth transition.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college/university, a doctorate is preferred.
- An active unencumbered Registered Nurse license, with eligibility to be licensed in Kansas.
- Two (2) years full time or equivalent clinical experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
- Three (3) years of teaching experience teaching in a baccalaureate and higher degree nationally accredited nursing program or equivalent educational/teaching experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Two (2) to Three (3) years of full-time experience in a previous academic nursing administrative position or clinical nursing administrative position is preferred.
- Demonstrates effective organizational, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills.

Key Job Duties
- Provide strong day-to-day academic and relationship-centered leadership, management and oversight for the Nursing Program to ensure a successful program.
- Be responsible for communication with the Kansas State Board of Nursing, CCNE and ensure that the program meets requirements and standards for approval and accreditation.
- Lead and collaborate with the Dean of Faculty, faculty and staff to assure quality of the academic program curriculum, student assessment, policy, resources, services and daily operations.
- Lead and collaborate with staff to implement and administer the daily operations and policies for the nursing program including semester planning, course schedules, faculty/student communication and NCLEX trends.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Faculty in establishing faculty teaching assignments. Interview, mentor and evaluate all faculty.
- Participate in the development, review, and revision of all official college publications, documents and reports related to the nursing program.
- Contribute information, oversight and feedback for the preparation of nursing budget expenditures, fees, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with Admissions to support the recruitment of Pre-nursing students to the College and oversee the admissions process into the BSN program.
- Interact positively and effectively with all faculty and students, understand all nursing courses, and stay current with all faculty and student concerns, including learning contracts and progression plans.
- Promote and support professional development and scholarship for faculty colleagues.
- Teach 6 credits in the BSN program annually.
- Visible student engagement:
• Oversee undergraduate admissions, progression, and retention including student learning contracts and revised progression plans.
• Coordinate and lead student events including orientations, student meetings, and ongoing student communication.

Primary Responsibilities
Southwestern College seeks a dedicated and experienced full-time faculty member to join our Doctor of Medical Science Program (DMSc). This remote position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of advanced practice clinicians through innovative online education. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in physician assistant practice, healthcare administration, and/or physician assistant education to deliver high-quality graduate-level instruction in a fully online learning environment.Teaching and Instruction (70%)
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in assigned DMSc courses using online learning platforms and technologies
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with program objectives and accreditation standards

Position Summary
Southwestern College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Pharmacology Instructor in the Physician Associate (PA) Program. This position is responsible for delivering instruction in one or more courses within the program’s three-course pharmacology sequence: Pharmacology I, Pharmacology II, and Pharmacology III. Each course carries four credit hours and is delivered during the didactic phase of the PA curriculum.
The successful candidate will provide graduate-level instruction in clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, focusing on mechanisms of action, therapeutic indications, medication safety, and evidence-based prescribing. The program may appoint one instructor to teach the entire pharmacology sequence or multiple instructors to teach individual courses based on expertise and availability.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Physician Associate Program
Position Overview
The Southwestern College Physician Associate (PA) Program seeks a qualified Adjunct Anatomy Instructor to teach a six‑credit‑hour graduate-level gross anatomy course during the spring semester of the program’s didactic year. This opportunity may be of particular interest to PhD anatomists, biomedical science faculty, or clinicians who teach anatomy within physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical, nursing, or other health professions programs.
The course emphasizes regional human anatomy with strong clinical correlations relevant to PA practice. The position includes both lecture and laboratory instruction. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position. Contract is renewed annually.Laboratory Instruction
Laboratory instruction is delivered using advanced virtual dissection technology, including the Anatomage Table, along with anatomical models and medical imaging. The PA Program is also exploring the future development of a cadaver laboratory component depending on resources and national cadaver availability.

The Senior Accounting Assistant reports to the Controller and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the business office in various tasks. Head Flag Football Coach
Job Summary
The Head Flag Football Coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching the SC Flag Football program. Recruiting student athletes, coordinating practices and activity travel, and promoting events and activities. Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Head Flag Football Coach will serve as a leader of a program that competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference as part of the NAIA. The Head Coach will be responsible for organizing, directing and administering a competitive flag football program in the KCAC and NAIA. This is a full-time,12-month, exempt position.Duties and Responsibilities
The general responsibilities of the Head Coach include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all aspects of the flag football program and all athletes associated with the program
- Successfully manage all athletes associated with the program with a targeted focus on academic success, program culture and actions of the student-athletes

Job Summary

Reports To: Business Division ChairSouthwestern College is currently seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant in the Business Division to begin in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The Business Division Graduate Assistant is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the academic and administrative functions of the department.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a Proctor for make-up exams. This includes coordinating the timing and administration of tests for students who were unable to complete regularly scheduled exams. Maintains academic integrity by verifying student identity, enforcing time limits, and reporting incidents to faculty.
- Establish and maintain a Business Division alumni/alumnae database utilizing primary and secondary research methods.
- Assist with taking classroom attendance or with data entry and recording attendance records into appropriate databases, as needed.
- Order office supplies utilizing college procurement systems.

Worship Outreach Coordinator

Associate Development Officer
Job Summary
The Associate Development Officer (ADO) is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors supporting the Builder Fund as well as major gift prospects at the $10,000 + level. As part of the major gifts team, the ADO will report to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The ADO will provide strategic assistance to the Advancement team, President, and senior members of the administration as an essential function of this position.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of 120-150 planned and major gift prospects/donors with a goal to increase the number of major gifts.
- Conduct at least 10-15 face-to-face visits with donors and prospects per month (extensive travel required).
- Serve as a key member of the fundraising team and actively participate in developing strategies to achieve overall fundraising goals for financial support and alumni participation.
- Work closely with members of the SC administration, faculty, and staff to guide the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donor relationships.
- Collaborate with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement for major and planned giving proposal approval and development of gift agreements.
- Collaborate with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement to prepare proposals and illustrations of life income and estate gift arrangements.
- Work closely with colleagues in the Office of Marketing and Communications to increase awareness of major, planned, and leadership annual gifts through press releases and feature stories in the Southwesterner magazine, the College website, social media, and print publications.
- ADO will maintain professional affiliations and continue to enhance his/her knowledge in the development and alumni relations field by keeping abreast of the latest information and trends in major gift fundraising, including deferred giving techniques, estate planning and tax laws.
- Propose and develop regional events that are integrated with major gift efforts.

Public Safety Officer (Part-Time)
Basic Function
To ensure the safety and security of all persons and property on the Southwestern College campus.Perform the duties and responsibilities of this role at all times in a fashion that supports the College’s commitment to creating an inclusive college of academic excellence where a variety of people and perspectives are welcome, and to providing an environment where people from all races, ethnicities, national origins, genders, sexual orientations and backgrounds may succeed.
Shifts will vary. Successful candidate will be available for all shifts, including many nights and weekends. Hourly rate: $10 for students, $14 for part-time non-students, $15 for full-time non-students.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understands and follows all campus security, safety and emergency procedures.
- Maintains familiarity and positive working relationships with all members of the campus community.
- Works closely with Student Affairs (Dean of Students, Assistant/Associate Dean, Hall Directors, Resident Assistants) to respond to student incidents and emergencies.
- Notifies Director of Safety & Security and Student Affairs administrators on emergency situations as needed.
- Maintains positive working relationships with all emergency services to include police, fire and EMS.
- On-scene liaison between the city/county emergency services.
- Reviews, understands, and passes on any information pertinent to departmental daily operations via the General Information Shift Log.
- Responds to all calls for service and emergencies (medical & fire), provides escorts, and responsible for the locking and unlocking of buildings in a timely manner.
- Provides regular foot patrols of the interior and exterior of campus buildings and monitors the campus grounds and roadways. Makes mobile patrols of the campus (ie: golf cart, security vehicle) as needed.
- Responsible for the completion of all incident reports and/or any written information pertaining to events that occur during shift.
- Monitors all parking areas and enforces traffic and parking regulations as needed.
- Enforces Southwestern College rules and regulations.
- Reports security, safety, health and fire hazard issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Participates in Safety and Security/Student Affairs training on procedure, protocol and response to incidents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Safety and Security.
Minimum Qualifications
Position requires a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and being able to pass a background check. Position requires excellent interpersonal, customer service and written and oral communication skills. Must be available to work a flexible schedule.Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to those with a college degree in a related field. Experience in college or university campus security preferred.Preference will be given to qualified candidates who also demonstrate success in recruiting, retaining, mentoring and / or actively engaging with under-represented and underserved populations both in the workplace and in the broader community.
