Bio

Mel Burnett brings extensive experience in nursing education, with a strong focus on emergency and critical care. She is passionate about supporting student success and fostering a learning environment where critical thinking and compassionate care are at the center. Mel serves as the program’s Simulation Lead, responsible for designing and implementing high-fidelity simulation experiences that enhance clinical reasoning, patient safety, and hands-on skills in a controlled, supportive setting. She looks forward to guiding students as they build the foundational competencies needed for professional nursing practice.
