Safety & Security

The Southwestern Office of Safety and Security supports a safe environment in which all members of the college can pursue their academic endeavors.  Open 24 hours a day, the staff responds to lock outs, requests for assistance, potential criminal incidents, suspicious activity, and emergency situations.  Safety and security officers regularly patrol buildings, classrooms, sports facilities, residence halls, and grounds by foot and vehicle.  Additional functions of this department include campus escorts, motor vehicle registration, lost and found property, and reporting damage and/or theft of personal or college property.

The Office of Safety and Security is located on the top floor of the Sutton Center in the Student Life Office.

Safety and Security 24-hour phone line: 620-229-0012 or 9-229-0012 from any campus phone.
