The Fran Jabara Award is presented to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and excellence in its recipients.  Jabara, an Oklahoma State University and Wichita State University graduate, was an advocate of the American free enterprise system and founded the Center for Entrepreneurship at WSU in 1977.

Weber was a leader on the volleyball team, president of the Student Government, treasurer for Pre-Health Professionals, a member of the Leadership team, and, importantly to many of her classmates, was a tutor for introductory biology classes and dissector and teaching assistant for the Anatomy & Physiology 2 lab.  Highly respected across campus, Weber was voted a 2025 Masterbuilder, was inducted into the Order of the Mound, and was Homecoming Queen last fall. She is currently attending Oklahoma City University in the Masters of Physician Assistant program.

Peterson participated in track and field, worship outreach teams, and performed in a variety of musical ensembles on campus. He has been a member of the business division’s DECA program, and was a leader in discipleship for all four years that he was in the program. He particularly shined in his junior year when he planned, executed, and led the team mission/service trip. Next year, Peterson will pursue an MBA and serve as the discipleship graduate assistant.

Weber and Peterson each received a plaque and a cash award.
