Kara Lee Ann Snell McLain

August 21, 1997 - October 14, 2016

Kara LeeAnn Snell McLain, age 19, died October 14, 2016 near Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on August 21, 1997 in Hays, Kansas the daughter of Dr. Allen L. and Barbara A. Snell McLain.

She was a 2015 graduate of Western Plains High School, Ransom.  She attended Southwestern College, Winfield where she was a member of the Acapella Choir and was involved in the theater.  Kara was also a member of the United Methodist Church, Arnold.

Kara is survived by her parents, two brothers, Ryan McLain and Veronica Creamer and Christopher McLain and Anna Malone; a niece Alayna McLain; and a nephew, Jericho Creamer; her grandparents Robert and June Snell; aunts, uncles, many cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dr. Kenneth and Mary Jane McLain and an uncle, Charles Snell.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 21, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the Western Plains High School, Ransom. Burial in the Ransom Cemetery.

Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions to the Arnold United Methodist Church and the Southwestern College Music Department.
