SC Enactus Presents at National Expo

The Southwestern College Enactus team recently presented at the Enactus National Expo.

SC Enactus presented one of their three projects at the Enactus National Expo April 13-16.  SC Enactus members prepared a presentation and also went through a seven-minute question and answer session with business leaders from around the nation.  The project that they presented was their Water Bottle Filling Station project.  Project lead, Josh Carter, Wichita, and Enactus president Chandler Rich, Oklahoma City, presented the project during the Q&A.  The expo was all virtual this year so the team was able to compete from the Southwestern College campus.

"This experience is one of the major reasons why Enactus is so powerful for students,” says Alleigh Allen, director of Enactus at Southwestern.  “It gives the real-life experience of putting together entrepreneurial projects that help support and sustain our community.  It also empowers students to make professional visual and verbal presentations in front of major fortune 500 companies.”

Enactus is an international organization dedicated to enabling progress through entrepreneurial action. They provide a platform for university students to collaborate with business and academic leaders in the development of entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities. The quality and impact of the students’ projects are evaluated by leading executives through a series of regional, national, and global competitions. The Enactus experience transforms the lives of the students as they develop into entrepreneurially-minded, socially-responsible leaders.

Other SC Enactus members include: Frank Rivas, Ousman Betts, Joshua Johnson, Travis Popenhagen, Daegiona Wilson, Nisa Muhammad, Tyler Morehead, Sydney Morris, Michelle Hawkins, Addis Zuniga, and Conner Cheney.
