Southwestern College Commencement ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, at 2:30 p.m., in Richard L. Jantz Stadium. 

Class of 2026 Commencement activities include:

Friday, May 8

• 12-1 p.m.—Business division reception, Mossman 134

Saturday, May 9

• 2:30-4 p.m.—Natural science and mathematics division reception, Welcome Center patio

Sunday, May 10

• 9:45 a.m.—Order of the Mound ceremony and reception at the Cole Mound Plaza (recognition of students graduating in the top 10% of the class and meeting guidelines stated in the college catalog).
• 10:50 a.m.— Class of 2026 Baccalaureate service, Grace United Methodist Church, 320 College St.
• 12-1 p.m.—Creative Technologies and communications reception, lower level of the Christy Administration Building.
• 12-1 p.m.—Social Science reception, Welcome Center.
• 12:30-1 p.m.—Education reception, Deets Library.
• 12:30-1 p.m.—Global/Professional Studies reception, Pounds Lounge in the Roy L. Smith Student Center. 
• 2:30 p.m.—Commencement ceremony and graduate hooding for main campus and professional studies students, Richard L. Jantz Stadium (In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held in Stewart Field House.

The 2026 Commencement activities will be live streamed on closed circuit television on the Southwestern campus as well as online at the Southwestern College Facebook page and the Southwestern College YouTube channel. Viewing location on campus will be in Richardson Performing Arts Center.   

Parking for graduation day will be available for persons with handicap permits in the parking lot between Christy Administration Building and Roy L. Smith Student Center. Security personnel will assist in finding parking and by providing rides on golf carts. 

In case of inclement weather, the decision to move the commencement exercises indoors will be posted on www.sckans.edu/campus and on social media sites.
