Performance-Based Scholarships

OPEN TO ALL INSTRUMENTS AND VOICE

The competition will offer the chance for students around the Midwest and Kansas to audition for a total of 18 scholarships! Each of the three emphasis areas (choir, piano, and orchestra) will offer (2) full scholarships, (2) half scholarships, and (2) $100.00 scholarships.

Full scholarship winners may also have the chance of being featured during the Summer Music Festival Performances!

What do I need for the audition?

Students should film themselves performing a solo work that showcases their technical and musicianship skills. You will upload your video via the application form or link to a video already posted online (such as to YouTube.)

  • Voice – Your choice of Solo art song/aria or Musical Theatre Song
  • Instrumental (strings, winds & perscussion) – Your choice of piece
  • Piano – Your choice of piece

V.J. Wilkins Full-Tuition Scholarships

The V.J. Wilkins Foundation of Cowley County is providing 30 full-tuition scholarships to cover the SC Summer Music Festival for qualified applicants.

In addition to covering tuition, recipients of Wilkins Grant Scholarship will receive an invitation for 2 guests to the banquet/luncheon without cost as part of the grant.
