SC Announces Carly Redding as its Next Campus Minister
Southwestern College has announced Carly Redding as its next campus minister.
Redding believes that campus ministry is an integral part of creating a bold and dynamic community at Southwestern College.
“Campus ministry allows space for Builders to be spiritually fulfilled,” Redding says. “Creating this community, based on diverse faith traditions and cultural identities, will allow Southwestern to impact Winfield, students, alumni, staff, and faculty. I am committed to creating a dynamic community of faith and campus ministry space that is inclusive of all.”
Redding is a 2023 Southwestern College graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and religion with minors in Christian Discipleship, Leadership, and youth ministry. While she attended Southwestern College she served as the student chapel administrator, was a student pastor at Grace United Methodist Church, and was a podcast and office intern for the Richard and Julia Wilke Institute for Discipleship.
She is finishing her Master of Divinity through Garrett Evangelical-Theological Seminary and is expected to graduate May 2026. While at Garrett she has served as the Campus Ministry/Seminary Intern at Northwestern University.
Grace United Methodist Church, at 320 College St., is having a welcome back party for Redding on Sunday, June 29, from 2 to 4 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. The community is invited to attend.
