Southwestern College is excited to announce the launch of a new full-tuition scholarship competition for incoming first-year students. Five competitive awards, each valued at approximately $170,000 over four years, will be granted to students who demonstrate exceptional academic promise and interest in specific fields of study.

This new scholarship initiative replaces the former Pillars and Moundbuilder Scholarships and is designed to support students pursuing degrees in high-demand academic areas.

Fall Competition Details:

• Fields of Study: Accounting, Nursing, Natural Science
• Application Deadline: November 1, 2025
• Competition Day: November 15, 2025

Spring Competition Details:

• Academic and Activity Interests: Education, Performing Arts
• Application Deadline: January 15, 2026
• Competition Day: January 31, 2026

All applicants will be considered for finalist status and invited to participate in an on-campus competition day. Each finalist who attends will receive a renewable $1,000 scholarship. From this group, five students will be selected to receive full-tuition scholarships based on their performance and qualifications.
