SC Sets $277,000 Goal for March 12 ‘Step Up’ Day of Giving
Step Up for Southwestern, Southwestern College’s annual day of giving, will be on Thursday, March 12. All funds raised as part of the day of giving campaign benefit the college's Builder Fund. The college has set a goal of raising $277,000 from more than 350 donors on the day for the annual fund. A group of generous donors has begun issuing challenges and offering gifts to match all donations given to the Step Up campaign for the Builder Fund.
“Step Up Day is an incredibly important day at Southwestern College," said Southwestern College President Liz Frombgen. "The support received on March 12 hastens progress and allows us to keep building at Southwestern.”
Gifts may be made online at www.sckans.edu/stepup, by stopping in at the Dole Alumni office at 201 N. College in Winfield, or by calling (620) 229-6397. The college is also encouraging supporters to share their pride for Southwestern on Thursday, March 12, by connecting with fellow alumni, wearing SC apparel, or by sharing support of the college on social media pages.
“The Builder Fund not only helps us address needs across campus, but it also helps us invest in important programs and projects that will make our college stronger and more attractive. Those who will Step Up for Southwestern on March 12 are making a lasting investment in our community: faculty, staff, alumni, current and future students,” said Kaydee Riggs-Johnson, vice president for advancement, communications, and marketing.
“On March 12, we look forward to connecting with Builders and friends from down the street and from all over the world, who will step up to support the future of Southwestern," adds Riggs-Johnson.
