PASIC

Southwestern College's Jeremy Kirk, who is our band director, percussionist, and assistnt professor of music, and two of his percussion students, Jordan Butler and Quenton Todd, visited San Antonio this past weekend to attend PASIC (Percussive Arts Society International Convention). PASIC is a convention where hundreds of percussionists of all kinds come together and learn about all of the different styles there are through demonstrations like workshops, clinics, and panels that are presented by some of the world's finest artists. "It has been a tremendous experience for Jordan and Quenton to see such inspiring percussionists from all over the world," Professor Kirk says, In addition, "Southwestern has been advertised throughout the entire convention on the PAS Board, programs, banners, etc. [There were] schools like Northwestern, University of Kentucky, Hartford, Texas Christian, and Southwestern is right there with them."
