Yazmin (Zink) Wood, B.F.A. in Dance, M.B.A.
Wood started her dance career in a local studio where she studied multiple dance disciplines.  Awarded a scholarship to Pacific Northwest Ballet School at the age of 14 by ballet great, Melissa Hayden, Wood was recruited by Cornish College of Arts (Seattle, WA) and employed to perform with Cornish Dance Theatre prior to receiving her BFA in Dance.

A versatile dancer, Wood worked professionally for both Santa Clara Ballet (Santa Clara, CA) and Jean Ann Ryan Productions (Ft Lauderdale/Miami FL).

A prolific choreographer honing her skills through experience, Wood has choreographed in excess of 50 musicals and concert works.  The Monticello Award for Emerging Choreographers from the Pacific Regional Ballet Association was presented to Wood in 1986.  Wood began her association with Southwestern College (Winfield, KS) in 1991 when choreographing for Horse Feathers and Applesauce Summer Dinner Theatre.

Wood earned her Masters of Business Administration from Southwestern College in 2003.

With over 30 years of teaching experience Wood is currently serving as a dancer teacher for Southwestern College where she recently choreographed “Spamalot.”
