Southwestern Children’s Choir LogoThe Community Music School is excited to offer a new choral opportunity to students this fall!

The Southwestern Children's Choir is a choral ensemble comprised of students in grades 3-8 serving Cowley County and the South Central Kansas region. The goal of the Southwestern Children’s Choir is to provide a collaborative and welcoming environment for the development of lifelong music skills and appreciation. There will be some performance opportunities throughout the year. This ensemble is directed by Nikki Kirk.

Meets: Tuesday evenings, 5:15-6:00 pm in the Darbeth rehearsal hall.

Price: $35.00 per semester per child.

A $10.00 family registration fee will be assessed once per academic year.

  • This fee covers up to 3 family members enrolled in the Community Music School group classes. (Group classes: Beginning Group Piano, Southwestern Children's Choir, Southwestern CommUNITY Percussion Group, and Melody Builders.) Additional family members will be assessed a $5 registration fee.
  • If a student is concurrently enrolled in private lessons, the group registration fee will be waived.
