Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a vocal emphasis
Bachelor of Arts in Music
Students should prepare three pieces from memory with live piano accompaniment.
- Two classical pieces at the level of an art song or arietta
One 16th – 18th centuryItalian art song or aria
One 19th to 20th century British or American art song in English
French or German may be substituted for the Italian - One musical theatre song showcasing a different vocal quality and style than the two classical pieces.

- Two contrasting, 16-32 bar cuts from musical theatre repertoire; one ballad and one up-tempo. One selection must be written prior to 1970 and the other contemporary. One selection should feature a classical “thin folds/head voice” vocal quality, and one should feature a contrasting vocal quality such as belt quality.
