The Rev. Dr. Quincy Brown, Vice President for Spiritual Life and Church Relations at LaGrange College, will present the 2014 Parkhurt Lecture during the Builders in Ministry conference February 20-21st, 2014. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Brown will discuss the call of Moses and how vocation can emerge out of experiences of a crisis of meaning. He will draw on the Faith Development Theory of James Fowler, Victor Turners' work on liminality from Arnold van Gennep's Rites of Passage, as well as selected chapters from his book, The Q.U.E.S.T for Vocation: A Personal Journey to Discern a Life's Calling.
