Bio

Dr. J.K. Campbell (Ed.D, Wichita State University) is the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Southwestern College. Dr. Campbell began instructing at Southwestern in July of 2018. Dr. Campbell teaches Educational Psychology, Teaching (Content Area) in the Secondary School, and Masters of Arts in Teaching Seminar.

“My wife, Jane, and I have been married 35 years. Our daughter, Rachel, has 4 children and lives in NW Oklahoma where she and her husband farm. Our son, Max, and his wife live in KCK where he leads a sales team for an acquisitions company. I came to SC after 32 years in public education; 12 years teaching and 20 years in administration including elementary principal, Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations, and Superintendent of the Winfield school system.  I love spending time with my wife and family, and all things outdoors – yard work, gardening, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. We have a family farm in Oklahoma where I am always reminded of the beauty and depth of God’s creation; the home-place where I go to be restored, find peace, and relax with family.”
