Jinx Shelf Food Pantry 5History

In the Fall of 2019, Southwestern College started a food pantry to help those students who were staying off-campus without a meal plan or who stayed in Winfield overextended academic breaks.

Food Pantry Committee

The committee is made up of faculty, staff, and students from the College.  The committee members meet regularly to direct the services of the pantry and to use the donated funds to shop for food.

Support for Long-Term Needs

In conjunction with the food pantry, we are able to assist students who may have more long-term needs through our relationships with community partners. We may be able to direct students to community resources that better fill their needs.
